The PriDE team are currently taking a period of time to immerse themselves in the data collected during the Faculty Learning Community workshops. We’ve got such a wealth of information, and extremely rich in detail.
What are the emerging themes? What are the informed assumptions we can make from these themes? What recommendations are we looking at drawing together?
Charlotte Tucker and myself, Jo Platt, have been welcomed to PriDE for a month or so to delve into the data and tease out themes and patterns. We are looking at the data using Doug Belshaw’s ‘8 elements’ as a framework for analysis. This approach is providing us with some very interesting insights into differences across the Faculty Learning Communities. It’s also allowing us to identify common institutional patterns.
It’s early days yet, but we feel that this approach is going to provide us with some sound assumptions and recommendations to support and enhance institution-wide and faculty-specific digital literacy. Watch this space….we’ll be updating you on progress as it happens!
